Torren Firth

A deep and frigid finger of salt water that pierces the North-Western side of Alainn Loire. At its mouth, on the headlands along the Southern bank sits the small fortress Dun Uillich which is a hub for trade in seal pelts, whale products, salmon, wool, potatoes and other Highland goods. At its furthest inland point, where the River Brigh empties its glacial runoff sits the small village of Dachaigh seat of Clan Brus.

The Torren Firth offers dramatic and contrasting landscapes. To the South are Highland moors dotted with lichen, black granite, and misty forests. To the North a ridge of white peaks severed by sharp valleys through which countless rivulets trickle and gush. In the center of the Firth is Inchfraholm with its wall of impenetrable oaks, where an ancient order of Druids purportedly still trains their initiates in the mysteries of the Old Ways.
